Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Grey Epoch uses cookies and similar technologies.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking pixels (small pieces of code that send information to a third party when a page loads). In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
First-party cookies are set by our Site, including by Squarespace on our behalf. Third-party cookies are set by other organisations, such as Google and LinkedIn. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
Your choices
We only place analytics and advertising cookies if you agree. When you first visit www.greyepoch.com, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are used.
We remember your choice for 30 days, after which the banner will ask you again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of www.greyepoch.com. Withdrawing consent stops cookies being used from then on, but does not remove cookies already set.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working. Guidance is available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (no consent needed). These keep the Site secure and working: protecting forms against cross-site request forgery, supporting our newsletter signup form, checking your browser supports cookies, and remembering your cookie banner choices. The law allows these without consent, so they cannot be switched off in the banner.
Analytics and performance (consent needed). With your consent, Squarespace collects information on our behalf about how visitors use the Site, such as how visitors interact with pages, traffic sources and returning visitors. We also use Google Analytics and Hotjar for the same purpose. Google may use this data to improve its own services, as explained in Google’s privacy policy. We use this information to improve the Site.
Advertising and marketing (consent needed). With your consent, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads. These record that you visited our Site, along with information such as your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you viewed. We use this to measure our campaigns and to show you our adverts on LinkedIn and Google services (known as retargeting). LinkedIn and Google may combine this with other information they hold about you, under their own privacy policies: LinkedIn and Google. Where we decide together with them why and how this data is collected on our Site, we may be joint controllers with them for that collection.
